Gary Gauldin
Partner and Founder
Gary, the Oldest and Heaviest member of the team, started the business 25 years ago as a DJ. Gary's philosophy for the success of AVP is finding talented individuals with the right attitude and chemistry, who work together on every job to create something special.
E. Lee Dickinson
Partner, Vice President,
Technical Director
Lee started his career in Entertainment Technology at the age of 12, working on his middle school's theater productions before going on to graduate from Virginia Tech with a degree in Theater Arts. He is AVP's chief technologist, with a special interest in show control and multimedia design and integration.
In his spare time - that not spent reading product manuals - he enjoys boating and flying. He does not enjoy mowing the grass, but does that too.
Ashley Honeycutt
Entertainment Manager
Sales and Marketing
After being raised around AVP's hit team building event, Outrageous Olympics, Ashley accepted the offer to become an Outrageous Official. Five years later, her expertise in the field landed her the position of manager. Having seen the beautiful work AVP can do with décor lighting, she decided to work heavily on promoting their skills to brides. Ashley has been an intricate part in AVP's leap into wedding lighting over the last year, serving as manager, head of marketing, and technician.
Thomas Semonco
Warehouse Manager
Production Technician
A graduate of Full Sail University, Thomas selected a career in entertainment production after working on the AV team at his church and on his high school's theater productions.
Beyond warehouse management, Thomas enjoys assembling audio systems and often works as a video switcher on large productions.
Stan Pruitt
Production Technician
Lighting Design
An accomplished club DJ and lighting designer, Stan joins our part-time staff as a lighting technician with a specialty in high end creative events. Stan also occasionally joins the Entertainment division as a DJ, and is interested in expanding his skills in to video switching and editing.
Evan Weiner
Associate Technical Director,
Power Systems and Rigging
Evan has been a part of many events, having met founder Gary Gauldin years ago, when he was 13 years old. With a love of all things technical, he is a long-standing part of the AVP team.
Rick Zander
Accounting
Sales and Marketing
Rick is the chief bean counter and drives our marketing efforts, if only so he has
more beans to count. He keeps the vendors happy, the creditors at bay, and the
owners out of jail. The instigator of office pools and general pandemonium, he
belies the stereotype of a typical accountant.
Russ Brown
Production Technician
Another long-time member of the AVP team, Russ has multiple skills in lighting and sound production.
Molly Dickinson
Production Technician
Despite a critically acclaimed community theatre debut as Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, Molly's attentions later turned to more technical pursuits. She earned degrees in engineering and theatre arts at Virginia Tech, where she met Lee, and continued to wear orange and maroon throughout a five-year graduate school stint in Charlottesville. She steps in as video switcher and graphics operator at many live events, and considers headset hair a small price to pay for the fun and excitement of working with AVP.
Jack Lowry
Production Technician
Jack is one of our part time weekend warriors...only because Jack runs his own business (Lowry Power washing) Jack's polite manner and almost military attitude is always contageous with the crew.

Richard McLawhorn
Production Technician
Richard began his production career as a technician at his local church in Roanoke at the age of 12. Richard and Lee became good friends while working productions within the Miss Virginia Organization. Richard's passion lies in audio but he also does his fair share of lighting and video as well. Working part-time for AVP, Richard also runs his own production business in Southwest VA, and is our go-to tech and contractor for Southwest Virginia.
Jackson
Team Mascot / Head of Security
Jackson is Lee's dog. He comes to work every day at the office and is never out sick. Jackson shows true devotion to his job. He's not much of a Guard Dog, but he will greet visitors with plenty of enthusiasm.
